February 2019 Side Hustle Report – $72.08

Welcome to the first month of the Eco-Friendly Saver Side Hustle Report. These posts detail all of the income my husband and I earned from side hustling using sharing economy and gig economy apps. 

It’s been a busy few weeks with UG4's birth and packing for our move to our new house. I've been slacking on the blogging and side hustle front, but I’m still making an effort to share all of the income we earned from side hustling in January.

Side Hustle Income for February 2019

Total Side Hustle Income for February 2019 = $72.08

Since this is our first-month doing focused side hustling, we only made a little bit of cash. However, we managed to bring in a little more than $70 from side hustling during the month. That’s not bad at all, and it brings some comfort to know that, we can bring in some cash without a job. Below is a more detailed breakdown of our side hustle income for the month.

Decluttr : $ 32.84

I ended up selling a book, a DVD, and my old I-Pod for $32.84 on Decluttr. That’s not too bad for clearing out stuff we don’t use anymore. I’m counting this as income since it’s basically money we otherwise wouldn’t have had. I tried selling some other books, but no bookselling sites were interested in what I was selling. I'll be trying to sell those on eBay next.

Control SMS App : $0.24

I get paid for receiving texts on my android phone. Telintel developed a testing network to verify that text messages are being received. I downloaded the free app and I receive texts over data or WiFi. I get paid on the 1st of the month via Paypal.

Giftloop App: $15.00

I get paid for charging my phone, watching ads, and unlocking my phone with Giftloop. You can also try out apps, but I mostly just charge my phone and unlock it with this app. It takes a long time to get enough points to cash out, but I like getting paid for things I'm already doing.

Smore App: $4 Amazon Giftcard

S'more is a lock screen app, where you get points to unlock your phone. Maximize your smartphone's wasted screensaver space and earn money just by adding ads to unlocking your phone as you normally do. You just swipe past them and earn cash. I cash out my points in Amazon gift cards. You can get $1 in Amazon or other gift cards every 10 days. Money Saved

I saved $20 switching my phone from Cricket Wireless to Mint Mobile. Now we pay $15 a month for my phone with 3 GB of data instead of $35. That's a savings of $240 a year! We'll be switching Mr. Greenie's phone soon too, but we have to make sure it's unlocked first. I-phones are more complicated than Androids.
