March Side Hustle Report: $196.45

Gig Economy Phone Apps

Welcome to the second month of the Eco-Friendly Saver Side Hustle Report. These posts detail all of the income my husband and I earned from side hustling using sharing economy and gig economy apps.

We were in the midst of moving and the house buying process. Even though we were keeping busy, we still side hustled! Here is the side hustle report for March's income.

Side Hustle Income for March 2019

Total Side Hustle Income for February 2019 = $196.45

Since this was our second-month doing focused side hustling, we only made a little bit of cash. However, we managed to bring in a little more than $196 from side hustling during the month. That’s not bad at all, considering we more than doubled our side hustle income in one month! It brings some comfort to know that, we can bring in some cash without a job. Below is a more detailed breakdown of our side hustle income for the month.

Control SMS App : $0.96

I get paid for receiving texts on my android phone. Telintel developed a testing network to verify that text messages are being received. I downloaded the free app and I receive texts over data or WiFi. I get paid on the 1st of the month via Paypal.

Smore App: $2.21 Amazon Gift card

S'more is a lock screen app, where you get points to unlock your phone. Maximize your smartphone's wasted screensaver space and earn money just by adding ads to unlocking your phone as you normally do. You just swipe past them and earn cash. I cash out my points in Amazon gift cards. You can get $1 in Amazon or other gift cards every 10 days. If you download S'more using this link or if you use my referral code JCSZA4, you get 25 points!

Podcoin App

I get paid for listening to podcasts with Podcoin. As long as you frequently listen to Podcasts as I do, you can use this app to earn coins and will eventually earn enough to get a gift card, or you can donate your earnings to charity right away.  All of my favorite Podcasts are available inside the app, including the Clean With Me podcast (which has motivated me to be a better homemaker), Side Hustle School (great to inspire action),  and The Dave Ramsey show.

It looks like almost any podcast is available. With similar apps that pay you to listen to music or watch videos, you’re limited to what they want you to listen to/watch. With PodCoin you really can listen to whatever podcast you want. It takes a long time to get enough points to cash out, but I like getting paid for things I'm already doing.

Postmates Delivery app: $188.28

A lot of people think there isn’t money to be made in deliveries, but Mr. Greenie's experience has been totally different. There is money to be made with doing deliveries, especially if you’re only doing deliveries during lunch and dinner hours. Mr. Greenie had slow work weeks in February and was able to get a decent side hustle income going by working the lunch and dinner rush. This is akin to getting a pizza delivery job, but you decide when you work by turning on the app. Great for someone who enjoys driving as much as Mr. Greenie does.

And that concludes the February 2019 Side Hustle Report!

I hope this post was helpful to you and gives you some ideas on how you can make a little extra income by getting paid to live your life. Hopefully, these types of posts give you some ideas.
